Spring Community Concert at the Mercado de San Miguel

Yesterday, we enjoyed a very special afternoon at the iconic Mercado de San Miguel to welcome the spring season and as the grand finale to the celebrations of San Isidro festival, which took place last week.. The event featured a delightful performance by the Matisse Choir from San Lorenzo de El Escorial, who brought warmth, tradition, and joy to the heart of the city.

The choir treated the audience with a repertoire of traditional Madrid music, including popular chotis and excerpts from zarzuela, taking everyone on a musical journey through the city’s rich cultural heritage. Locals, visitors, and tourists alike joined in the celebration, turning the market into a lively and heartfelt stage.

It was a truly memorable afternoon—full of music, color, and tradition—that captured the spirit of Madrid in every note.
