We Celebrated World Book Day with Flavor at Mercado de San Miguel

This past Wednesday, Mercado de San Miguel was filled with stories, aromas, and excitement. In celebration of World Book Day, we wanted to pay tribute not only to literature, but also to gastronomy—two pleasures that go hand in hand. To mark the occasion, we hosted a very special book signing event featuring three major figures in the culinary world: Paola Freire, best known as Foodtropia, and chefs Álvaro Castellanos and Iván Morales, founders of the renowned Arzábal group.

Throughout the day, visitors and food lovers had the chance to meet the authors, explore their culinary vision, and of course, buy and take home signed copies of their books. It was a warm, inspiring gathering full of recipes, stories, and a shared passion for good food.

This book signing was our way of celebrating the power of books to share knowledge, creativity, and passion—while also highlighting the unique bond between food and culture.
